Let me tell you this story...
I filled up the online request to update my Aadhar card and I kept checking the status which showed in progress for more than 1.5 months. And then, I thought that Government sites are not reliable. Thought of raising a complaint. And then I got the toll free number 1947 (India Independence year!). I dialled the number on a SUNDAY morning with the following expectations:
1. It may not work.
2. It may work but have some automated reply and may not get any required help.
BUT...
My Government proved me completely wrong!
When I dialed 1947, I was guided well with automated messages and there was an option to talk to a person. I still thought that I will not get help and will receive an automated reply that our working hours are Monday to Saturday between 9 AM to 5 PM.
BUT, to my utter shock and surprise, I was greeted by a person professionally, who heard my problem with patience, checked the status, and informed me that my Aadhar card is updated. He even apologized that the website is under continuous maintenance and that's why I did not see the updated information.
He was so good at English too and helped me with all the information, waited patiently for me to download and check the status. He was in no hurry to end the call and wished me a good day!
With this experience, I am sure that the website will also be updated in sometime, removing all the technical glitches.
I AM SO PROUD to say THIS IS MY INDIA which is improving everyday under the able leadership of none other than our respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modiji.
I had tears in my eyes which were TEARS OF PRIDE.
I also thanked the "executive" on the other hand that I did not expect any in-person help on a SUNDAY from a Government organisation and I was so wrong...
I also posted a feedback on the Aadhar website instead of raising a complaint!
HATS OFF TO MY COUNTRY INDIA! PROUD TO BE AN INDIAN!
JAI Hind!
Jai Hind. The country as as whole is progressing n yes the government agencies are more accountable now.
